An old photo of Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and Her new husband Asar Malik has gone viral. This is because the picture, which is from July this year, shows Shah Rukh Khan, or more accurately his life-sized cardboard cut-out.
Malala and Asar married in Birmingham on Tuesday after a two-year relationship.
Asar had shared a picture of Shah Rukh’s cut-out on Malala’s birthday this year, when she turned 24. He wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday to the most amazing @Malala. @iamsrk definitely had to do a needed cameo.” Malala is a self-proclaimed fan of the Indian actor. She had even invited Shah Rukh to speak at Oxford University, while she was studying there.
“Happy birthday to the most amazing @malala. @iamsrk Definitely had to do an essential cameo,” wrote Asar while sharing the picture. The cut-out was given to Malala as a birthday present by a friend.

Malala, a girl from the Swat Valley in Pakistan, has been the face of social activism and women’s right to education ever since a Taliban member shot her in the head in violation of a decree banning girls from attending schools. Then she was 15 years old.
The Nobel Peace Prize came two years later in 2014, making her the youngest woman to receive the honour.
