Morbius trailer: Jared Leto turns into a compelling antihero

new trailer of Jared Leto starrer Morbius is out. The three-minute video looks thrilling to say the least. The video offers a great glimpse into the world of this vampire anti-hero who can’t decide where to draw the line between his various avatars.

The character is reminiscent of another Marvel anti-hero, Venom (portrayed by the versatile Tom Hardy). What’s amusing is that the makers explicitly mention this relationship in the video itself as we hear Leto say towards the end, “I’m poison,” jokingly as he introduces himself to a stranger.

The trailer presents an interesting makeover of the well-doing Doctor Michael. There is one particularly eye-catching scene in which Jared Leto’s character is shown flying in front of a train.

The film’s official synopsis reads, “One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicting characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into enigmatic antagonist Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and others Determined to save Mr. Morbius from suffering the same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it appears to be a grand success, a darkness within him opens up. Is good over evil? Will prevail – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urge?”

Helmed by Danielle Espinosa, Morbius will hit the big screen next January.
