Actor Jr NTR has opened up about working with RRR director SS Rajamouli. Calling him the “task master”, Jr NTR said that Rajamouli wanted him to strike a chord with his co-star Ram Charan. RRR Song “Natu Natu”, “He [Rajamouli] Was there so much hell between the two of us adjusting, he would record the steps, go back, step, freeze, watch how the legs move, see how the hands were moving, did they sync Running or not? The actor told Variety, adding that both Jr NTR and Ram Charan gave around 18 retakes to complete the move.
However, it was only later that Jr NTR realized why Rajamouli was ‘so adamant on achieving the sync and why he was shooting for 12 hours a day to achieve it’. “When the song released and I was looking online, I was looking at people’s comments, and everyone was just talking about Sync. I just called him and I said, ‘How do you know that?’ He is a taskmaster. And that’s why he is one of the biggest directors of India and today this song is going viral.”
The actor, who has previously collaborated with SS Rajamouli on Student No 1, Simhadri and Yamadonga, also talked about the “anticipation and expectation” surrounding RRR.
NTR Jr said, “Hope and hope is something that we have to deal with, and being associated with Rajamouli, you know this person is not going to go wrong.” He said, “This guy really hasn’t let people down. Whatever their expectations may be.”
RRR will release on 7 January 2022.
