India vs New Zealand, 3rd T20 Probable XI: India may experiment with series already in the bag cricket news

Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will try to end the series on a grand note against New Zealand at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and ensure a whitewash in the series. The team management can also look to the bench and make some changes with the series already sealed. Top performers like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin may be given some much-needed rest after a hectic schedule that saw them play a full tour of England in T20I, the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 in UAE . The series going on at home after the World Cup. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad may make his India debut along with pacer Avesh Khan. Both the players performed brilliantly for their respective franchises in IPL 2021.

Rituraj Gaikwad: The right-handed batsman garnered wide acclaim after some fine performances for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Consistent outings helped him earn a place in India’s squad and he may now be handed his international debut in the third T20I.

Rohit Sharma: Rohit has taken up the responsibility as India’s full-time T20I captain in style, winning the toss and then wrapping up the match. He also displayed good form in his first series win as captain of the national team.

Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar got a rare failure in the second match, but that shouldn’t bother him much. Known for his consistency, Suryakumar is expected to go ahead and regain his touch which he displayed in the first match.

Ishan Kishan: Kishan could replace Pant for the final game as the latter has been playing non-stop cricket this season. A much-needed rest could provide a good opportunity for Kishan, who showed what he is capable of in the early stages of the T20 World Cup.

Shreyas Iyer: Iyer has failed to gain a foothold so far after making a cut in the side post injury. However, the team management may stick with the former Delhi Capitals (DC) captain to make up for the lack of something in Iyer’s batting.

Venkatesh Iyer: Venkatesh is still at the start of his career at the international level and coach Rahul Dravid wants to give him a full range and would like to test him in Kolkata as well. He showed signs of aggression from the word go in both games but has yet to make a major contribution. His bowling ability can be showcased in the final match.

Axar Patel: Akshar’s spell of one wicket for 26 runs in four overs was full of confidence and deceit. He bowled tight line and length and made the batsmen think twice before dancing on the track. He also cleverly changed his pace throughout the spell.

Yuzvendra Chahal: Chahal has been out of the team for quite some time and despite being one of India’s best T20I bowlers, Chahal finds himself warming the bench. Chahal could have a big role to play with long boundaries at the Eden Gardens.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bhuvneshwar has returned from a terrific T20 World Cup 2021 tournament and has shown glimpses of his best. He swung the ball from both sides and troubled the batsmen in the powerplay overs.

Avesh Khan: Avesh could be given a debut in India after a stellar performance in the IPL for Delhi Capitals. With Deepak Chahar failing to impress in both the matches so far, Avesh can look forward to his first match for the national team in Kolkata.

Harshal Patel: Harshal has taken no time to adjust to international cricket after finishing as the Purple Cap holder in IPL 2021 with 32 wickets. He won the player of the match award in Ranchi and is expected to make it to the playing XI again.
