Bollywood actress Dia Mirza says she has learned a lot from her newborn son Avyan Azad Rekha and step-daughter Adara. Diya and husband tied the knot in February in a surprise ceremony and welcomed Avyan a few months later.
In a new interview, she said that her baby has taught her “mindfulness” and that Samaira is a “lovely” older sister to her. “Children are indeed the best teachers for adults as they bring with them a completely pure worldview. Avyan has taught me mindfulness, happiness and resilience and a smile from him can take away all my worries. I am now a Feel even more responsible as a professional because I want to create a better world for her to grow up in, with my voice and my work. Adara is such a lovely big sister and I learn so much from her fresh worldview too ,” she told ETimes.
Referring to Samaira as “our daughter”, Dia Mirza Said that Samaira lives with Avyan “at the heart of everything”. He also credited Vaibhav for his support in raising his son. “He’s a rock-solid support system and a practical dad,” she said.
Avyan was born prematurely, Dia revealed in an Instagram post announcing his birth. She also wrote that she spent the first few weeks of her life in the neonatal ICU. In the following months, Diya is shared many of his child.
She said in an ETimes interview that Avyan is “too young to be in the limelight right now” and that she and Vaibhav will decide “in time” whether to expose him to the media glare.
